Alessandro Piol

Technology Investor and Advisor

Alessandro Piol is a New York based technology investor. Active in the U.S. venture industry since the early 1990s, he co-founded AT&T Ventures and led the technology team at Invesco Private Capital. Currently Alessandro is an advisor to Knightsbridge, Sella Ventures, and Algebris Climatech; he is a board member and advisor of several private companies; and is a member of Bacchus Venture Capital (an angel group that invests in EFL companies) and Club degli Investitori in Italy. He is Chairman Emeritus of Columbia Engineering’s Board of Visitors, and co-authored Tech and the City: The Making of New York’s Startup Community. He holds an MBA from Harvard and MS/BS degrees in Computer Science from Columbia University.
