Dr. P. (Gopal) Gopalakrishnan is an experienced technology leader, currently working with companies of various sizes to guide their strategy and technology directions. He is an accomplished technology executive who has successfully led product innovations, research, and technology strategy over the course a distinguished career. He was formerly the Vice President, Corporate Technology, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY. He is an early pioneer of AI and machine learning, having started his research career in speech recognition, natural language and conversational systems. He is the co-founder of a conversational AI company and is an advisor for several other startup companies in AI. He has published in many peer reviewed conferences and journals and has co-authored over twenty patents. Dr. Gopalakrishnan received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he has been inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame.
