Dr. Navneet Puri has over 20 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur in the life sciences industry. He founded Nevakar, Inc. in 2015 with a vision of improving patients’ quality of life and healthcare outcomes in hospital and ophthalmology segments, where he raised over $300M. Prior to Nevakar, he founded InnoPharma, Inc. in 2005, focusing on development of hospital injectable products for critical patient care. InnoPharma was acquired by Pfizer in 2014 for $360M. Following the acquisition, he stayed on as Vice President of Pfizer’s Worldwide Research & Development and President of InnoPharma until 2015. Before his entrepreneurial journey, Dr Puri spent several years in product development and drug delivery of parenteral pharmaceuticals at Baxter Healthcare Corp. and Amgen Inc. Dr. Puri received EY Entrepreneur of The Year award from the state of NJ and Future 50 magazine’s Smart CEO award in 2015. His past board positions include InnoPharma, Eyenuk, Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Alzeca Biosciences, Nevakar and BioNJ. His current board positions include Lactiga, Prodigy Biotech and Foundation Venture Capital Group (a New Jersey Health Foundation affiliate). He also serves in the advisory board for TiE NJ as Co-Chair, Rutgers Health Leadership Council as Chair, Tech Council Ventures, New Jersey Economic Development Authority and Regenosine, and is a member of the Rutgers Board of Trustees.
