Executive Director, Public Policy and Corporate Affairs | Amicus Therapeutics

I’m currently Executive Director for Public Policy and Corporate Affairs at Amicus Therapeutics, a rare-disease biotech recently acquired by BioMarin in a $4 billion all-cash transaction. My job is to help the CEO and senior leadership team navigate high-stakes policy environments where the science is technical, the politics are emotional, and the reputational risks are real. I work at the intersection of drug pricing, patient access, FDA regulation, and innovation strategy — helping leaders align internal teams, build external trust, and tell a credible story to policymakers, patients, regulators, and investors. That is also the central challenge facing healthcare start-ups: the technology has to work, but adoption depends just as much on whether patients, clinicians, regulators, payers and policymakers trust the people deploying it. Prior to joining Amicus, I was Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (2017-19) on regulatory policy, strategic innovation initiatives, and promoting competition to efficiently advance public health and safety. Before that, I was a Senior Fellow and Director of Health Policy at the Manhattan Institute.
