Tobias Egle

Tobias is an early-stage investor with M Ventures focusing on their semiconductor and sustainability investments. At M Ventures, Tobias most recently focused on the integrated photonics and data center infrastructure domain where he made two investments in 2023: Polaris Electro-Optics and Quintessent where he now also is a Board member. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chemical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany before moving on to Harvard University for his PhD studies in Physical Chemistry and Materials Science. At Harvard, Tobias also worked on a startup to decarbonize critical mineral mining and joined Yard Ventures (part of Alumni Ventures) as a Fellow focusing on investment in advanced materials startups.
