Vamsi Velcheti

With over a decade of experience in medical oncology and drug development, I am a Professor of Medicine and a Director of the Thoracic Oncology Program at New York University. I lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and educators who are dedicated to advancing the science and developing novel approaches to cancer treatment. I have a dual degree in medicine and business administration, and I have advanced training in drug and medical device development and operational and change leadership. I have multiple publications, patents, and awards in the field of cancer research, and I have extensive experience in conducting clinical trials, developing novel therapies, and collaborating with industry partners. I am passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of oncologists and innovators, and I strive to create a culture of excellence, diversity, and collaboration in my program.
