Bill Pertusi is an investor and advisor, focused on early stage technology companies, as well as larger investment management organizations. In addition to EFL he is a member of HBS Angels. He spent the first 17 years of his career on Wall Street, primarily in fixed income markets, and then 18 years in hedge funds, the last 14 of which he was Chief Risk Officer and Senior Managing Director at Graham Capital Management (from which he retired in February 2020). At Graham he was also Chair of the firm’s Risk Committee and a member of its Investment Committee. He also managed the recruiting of all new Portfolio Managers for Graham. Bill holds a CFA charter. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1983, an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1987, and an M.S. in Mathematics from Fairfield University in 2006.
