William G. Pertusi, CFA, is the Co-Chief Risk Officer and a Senior Managing Director of GCM, responsible for identifying, monitoring and acting upon financial risks relative to financial returns in GCM’s diverse trading strategies. Mr. Pertusi is also Chairman of the firm’s Risk Committee and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He became an Associated Person of GCM effective July 24, 2006 and a Principal on November 28, 2006. Prior to joining GCM in April 2006, he was a Director and Risk Manager at SAC Capital Advisors, where he was responsible for working with portfolios across all product areas. Mr. Pertusi holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a member of the CFA Institute, and is a member of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association. Mr. Pertusi received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1983, an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1987, and an M.S. in Mathematics from Fairfield University in 2006.
